Science for Schoolers brings the wonderful world of science to primary school aged children in a fun and fascinating way. Our classes are structured, educational and engaging and are designed to nurture and encourage children’s inquisitiveness about the world around them. As a result, Science for Schoolers students gain an awareness and knowledge about themselves, their surroundings and the world they live on thus building confidence and social friendships based on shared interests.

Your child can experience our weekly classes by either attending our weekly program in Blackburn South VIC or we can bring our Science Club to your child's primary school.

Total Cost: $140 per child for the term.

Organise our Science Club to come to your School

Our Science Club for primary schoolers is an extracurricular program that teaches children scientific concepts which can help develop a range of life skills. Each term our Science Club program focuses on a particular topic within Life, Physical or Earth Science. The program begins with the introduction of the basic concepts of the topic being covered for the term which is then built upon and extended every week.

 

Our classes are 30 to 45 minutes in duration and commence with an interactive presentation on the core theme for the class. The theory is then applied through fun, hands-on science experiments/activities with a focus on S.T.E.A.M (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics). The class is then concluded with a science themed group discussion based on the topic of the class to summarise the concepts explored. At the end of each class, a report is given to parents/guardians that summarises the learning areas and objectives of the class in order to promote further discussions at home such that learning does not end when the class does.

 

Schools can choose to manage the enrolment of students themselves or choose Science for Schoolers to manage the enrolment of students by parents/guardians enrolling their child into the program via our website.

 

To conduct our Science Club term program, a minimum of 20 children or the equivalent cost of 20 children is required. The program includes one or two instructors depending on the class size and all materials required to perform the science experiments/activities. All instructors have a current working with children licence and extensive experience working with primary school children.

 

The cost for our Science Club is $10.00 per child per class with every term running for a total of 7 classes. We can conduct our science club classes before school, after school, during school hours and/or at lunch time.
