Thinking about having a science themed party for your child’s birthday or function? We can help!

Science for Schoolers brings the wonderful world of science to children aged 5 to 10 in an educational and engaging way. Our science parties for preschoolers are a great way for your little guests to have fun and at the same time learn about a science concept.

You can come to us, or we can come to you! You can use our centre in Burwood VIC where we deliver our classes and workshops. Our centre has a kitchen area and toilet facilities. If you prefer to host the party at your home, we can come to you.

Our parties are 45-60 minutes in duration and commence with an interactive presentation on the science theme that you have selected for the party. The theory is then applied through fun, hands-on science experiments / activities for each child to experience.

We have the following science themes available for your selection:

- Life Sciences: All about Amphibians, Germy Germs, Beauttiful Botany, What's in Blood?, Terrific Teeth, Our Five Senses, The Respiratory System

- Physical Sciences: The Science of Bubbles, Creative Chemistry, Measure It, Electrifying Electricity, Magnificent Magnetism, Gas..tronomy, Slime Spectacular

- Earth Sciences: Reasons for Seasons, Rocking Rocks, Dinosaur Dig, The Water Cycle, The Wonder of Rainbows, Moonlighting, Starlight Starbright, The Special Sun

Each party at our Burwood center includes:

Science Instructor for 1 hour
Private party room for 1.5 hours (45-60 minutes for science experiments and 30 minutes for food/drink/cake)
Choice of party topic
All materials required
Lab Coats and safety glasses for each child
3 science experiments
Take home experiment/art work (dependent on the topic chosen)
Access to Kitchenette and toilets
The option to BYO food, drinks and cake
Access to our centre 20 minutes prior to the party to decorate and 20 minutes after the party to pack up

The cost is $250 for a minimum of 10 children (or equivalent cost) and $5 for each additional child. Maximum number of children is 40. For example, if you have 15 children for the party, the cost will be $250 + ($5 x 5 children) = $275. Travel costs may also apply for venues outside of Greater Melbourne and Greater Sydney if you wish for us to come to your venue. Please note for parties with 20 children or more we will provide additional science instructors, this will incur an additional fee $75 per instructor (20-29 children = 2 instructors, 30-40 children = 3 instructors).

Numbers must be confirmed at the time of the booking to ensure there is sufficient material available for each child.
